A Message from the Pacific NW Outrigger Racing Canoe Association (PNWORCA)

Aloha `Ohana & Friends,

Just wanted to say Much Mahalo for attending the Wa`a Blessing of Manu and Me`a Pā`ani `Ekolu. Also Much Mahalo to Aunty Onie and her Hālau and `Iwalani Christian and her Hālau for doing the blessing at Sand Point, Lake Washington.

Awesome feeling of Mana flowed through the whole blessing and ceremony. A perfect day for a Blessing and Honoring Uncle Manu Baker by naming Kīkaha O Ke Kai newest Wa`a "Manu".

Uncle Manu gave us a lot of memories and support for the whole Wa`a and Hawaiian Community and we surely miss him a lot. Also I want to thank Aunty Maile Baker for attending the blessing of Manu and taking the gift home to share with her `Ohana. Much Mahalo again everyone for taking part and respecting the Wa`a Blessing.

~~~Boy Chun-Fook, President—PNWORCA
