Northwest Hawai`i Times is a free newspaper published monthly in Seattle, Washington. At the beginning of every month, 10,000 copies are distributed to more than 125 businesses, restaurants, libraries, colleges and community centers around Washington and Oregon. In addition, readers take bundles to special events such as ho`olaule`a, lū`au, hula and canoe hālau practice, workshops…wherever you find people who love Hawai`i. We also mail many copies out around the country and back to Hawai`i (for a cost of $16 a year -- which covers postage and handling.) When we counted those in this region with connections to Hawai`i, that number easily surpassed half a million (from the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau and the Port of Seattle.) Our first issue hit the streets in April 2004 and in January 2006, we launched our website, allowing us to reach even more readers around the world.
